Alicia Previn

  • by

Over the past four decades violinist Alicia Previn has performed on numerous acclaimed recordings, completed multiple international tours, and established herself as a first call musician with great improvisational skills.

As the daughter of André Previn (conductor of the Houston, Pittsburgh, and London Symphony Orchestras and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra), and jazz singer Betty Bennett (vocalist in the Benny Goodman band), Alicia was classically trained at the Royal Academy of Music in London, then joined the London Symphony Orchestra, which began her extensive career as an inspired live performer, and highly sought after session musician.

Alicia’s versatility has enabled her to record, perform, and tour with many artists spanning across multiple musical genres, as well as appearing in commercials, videos, MTV music videos, and TV shows such as performing on Jay Leno’s Tonight Show in 1993, and with British talk-show host Des O’Connor. Alicia was nominated at the San Diego Music Awards in 2013 as best female musician.
