Jason Winters

Hey, my name is Jason Winters and I have been writing music, recording worship albums, and leading worship for over 20 years. I have produced four worship albums and I’m about to release my fifth album called No More Wandern’. I am currently one of the Lead Pastors at Mountain View Community Church in Ramona Ca.

I am so excited about this new project for a few reasons. One, this album created a chance for me to return to my country/bluegrass roots. I learned to play guitar by jamming with my grandparents in their bluegrass circles in my teen years. Two, I get to sing with my amazing wife Heather and our four beautiful daughters on this new album. And Three, the caliber of players that have contributed to this project is mind blowing! Between Jim Soldi on guitar (Johnny Cash/ Ricky Skaggs), Dennis Caplinger on dobro (Eric Clapton/Vince Gill/Nickle Creek), Lauren Leigh Martin (nominated best pop album in San Diego), and Kevin Ryan on pedal steel, there are some amazing performances on this album!

The album was recorded at After Hours Studio at the Ramona Music Center in Ramona Ca. It was produced by myself and my good friend Jon Hasz (who also played guitar, bass, mandolin, etc). It was mastered at Zen Mastering by Paul Abbot. I am excited for the group of people that God has put together to make this album a reality.

I am just as excited about the message that you will hear throughout the whole album. No More Wanderin’ is an album of hope, mercy, and grace for the ones who wander. I am a wanderer. I am not proud of it, but it’s a reality that I must face. I wander after lesser things, lesser pursuits, and come up empty handed. At the same time I have to remember that God loves me and is always waiting for me and calling me to return to him with open arms. His grace paves a way to return to Him 24/7 365. God loves us unconditionally, wandering hearts and all. The sooner we remember that, the sooner we will return to him. And my hope is the more I return to Him, the longer I will stay.

I pray that God uses these songs to call your wandering heart back to His grace and truth through a relationship with Jesus Christ! Thanks for sharing my music with the world. I love you all.
